Overseas Travel During Bankruptcy

During bankruptcy you can travel overseas for work or holidays but you will need written permission from your Trustee. This is typically not difficult.

There is a prescribed form for you to complete and give to your Trustee. Your travel will be approved provided you are up to date with responding to the Trustee’s queries and are not considered a flight risk.

It is rare that we are not able to approve a travel request.

The ‘Travel Request Form’ that you will need to complete is available on our website.
