FAQs | What Happens When You Become Bankrupt?
In most cases no, if a creditor contacts you once you have become bankrupt insisting on payment, please refer them to your Trustee. You should notify your trustee that one of the creditors from your bankruptcy is contacting you. The trustee can then contact the creditor and ask them to stop. Once you have entered bankruptcy the calls, letters and emails from creditors will stop which will be a big relief allowing you to focus on yourself and your future.
